An ideal opportunity for a qualified Cardiac Physiologist to develop their experience, knowledge and skills.
Working within our BSE Accredited Cardio-Respiratory Department, you will be a valued member of our cardiac physiologist team, providing high quality diagnostic tests across the cardiac pathways. You will be enthusiastic, professional, compassionate and competent with a willingness to contribute ideas to provide the very best patient-centred care.
A BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification is essential for a band 5 position. However, applications are also welcomed from final year undergraduates who can demonstrate the requisite level of interest, motivation and commitment - salary will be commensurate with salary band 4 progressing to salary band 5 on graduation.
Main duties of the job
Delivering high quality cardiology service including ambulatory ECG analysis, exercise stress testing, tilt testing and invasive testing. As a forward thinking department heavily involved in training at all levels, this post also provides an excellent opportunity to develop future skills in echocardiography or implantable cardiac devices for candidates who can demonstrate the requisite level of interest, motivation and commitment.

Knowledge and Experience
* Experience of supervising Exercise Stress Tests
* Experience of analysing & reporting ambulatory ECG
* Proven experience as a Band 5 Cardiac Physiologist in an acute hospital
* Can independently supervise Exercise Stress Tests
* Can independently analyse & report ambulatory ECG
Qualifications/Training
* BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification (essential for a band 5 position) or Final year BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent undergraduate (essential for a band 4 position)
* Voluntary Registration held with the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) or Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP)
