Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Vale of Neath Practice
6-8 Clinical Sessions Per Week (26.25 - 35 hours per week)
The Vale of Neath Practice is a highly motivated GP Practice that strives to maintain a high standard of care to all our patients. We are looking for an ANP to enhance our current team and bring a new dynamic approach to General Practice and our patients.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced ANP to enhance the clinical day-to-day services provided to our patients. Reporting to the Practice Partners, you would be responsible for daily clinical sessions and attend weekly clinical meetings to bring new ideas for future clinics, along with training advice.
About us
A well-established GP Practice based at the top of the Neath Valley in Glynneath with close transport links to the M4 and A470. Patient list size of around 9,500, serving Swansea Bay, Cwm Taf, and Powys Health Board areas. The Practice boasts a highly professional team including 8 GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and a full nursing team; this is complemented by a supportive reception and administration team. We are a hardworking, high-achieving practice also undertaking many Enhanced Services including minor surgery and long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) clinics. As a GP Training Practice, we also regularly host GP Registrars as they progress through the Swansea Bay GP Training Scheme.
Job responsibilities
We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible individual with good organisational and communication skills. The candidate needs to have the ability to work in ever-changing, demanding situations.
The Practitioner will work autonomously within their profession's scope of practice providing acute care for patients via face-to-face and telephone consultations. They will need to provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care, making necessary and appropriate referrals for investigations. Other responsibilities include ensuring all clinically generated administration is completed in a timely manner.
The candidate will need to demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. They will need to be able to work collaboratively within the practice team to meet the needs of patients and support the delivery of policies and procedures.
