Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Preston:
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join one of our excellent schools in Preston. The successful candidate will have experience as a HLTA and be confident leading lessons in the absence of the teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing specific support and interventions for children across all curriculum areas
Leading groups in activities in core curriculum areas such as Phonics, Reading, Maths and Writing
Working with individuals on learning and development activities
Preparing resources and areas within the setting
Carrying out assessments and recording information
Assisting in the daily routines for the children
Working with children on range of learning and play activities, indoors and outdoors
Liaising with parentsPosition Details:
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston
Hours: 8am-4pm
Start date: Jan 2025
End date: Ongoing
Type of work: Temporary
Full time/part time: Full time only
Minimum rate of pay: £120 dependant on experienceEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent is preferred
Previous experience working in a UK school or with children of a similar age
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related referencesOTHER
