Position Overview: We are looking for an accomplished Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience across a variety of projects, including commercial and residential developments, new builds, extensions, council work, and surveys. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on steelwork design and be capable of leading structural engineering projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities: Lead and deliver structural engineering design for a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and council works. Provide expert advice and oversight on steelwork design, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and client specifications. Conduct and oversee structural surveys, producing detailed reports and recommendations for clients. Collaborate with project teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance on technical matters and professional development. Manage project documentation, including calculations, drawings, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Foster strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction. Key Requirements: A minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record in delivering a wide range of projects. Expertise in steelwork design and implementation is essential. Experience in structural surveys is highly desirable. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of relevant engineering software and design tools. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
