Are you a Senior Civil Engineer
We are the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the Programme and Project Partners (PPP). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.
As a result of this increasing demand for our services we are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Birchwood Park, Warrington. You will be part of the Lightly Shielded Store 1 (LSS1) Project. LSS1 is a 7200m2 footprint major project new build on the Sellafield site. It will be a new class of Intermediate Level Waste store for Sellafield with a design life of 100 years. The project is heading towards Outline Business Case (OBC) gate and also undertaking Preliminary Design activities.
Responsibilities as a Senior Civil Engineer will include;
* You will responsible for day-to-day management of civil designers and support the Civil Lead in planning and delivery of work.
* Undertake the civil design, and work with the civil designers to develop the 3D model and produce 2D AutoCAD GA and detail drawings from the model and specifications as design progresses through Preliminary and Detailed Design.
* Fulfil the Designer role under the CDM Regulations.
As a Senior Civil Engineer you will have;
* A civil engineering degree and ideally be a Chartered Engineer.
* Experienced in all aspects of civil design including highways, drainage, other utilities, fencing and earthworks.
* Experienced in using civil design software – ideally Microdrainage, Civils 3D and AutoCAD for 2D.
* Ideally have some nuclear experience but if not, in a similar industrial field.
* Have experience managing design resources, planning and managing delivery, chairing meetings, managing stakeholders or a desire to expand into this area.
* Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams.
