About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Care Home Manager to lead a nursing and residential care home, providing high-quality care for elderly residents, including those with dementia. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a home under new ownership, with full support from the directors to drive improvements and growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with CQC regulations.
* Lead and support a multidisciplinary team, including the Deputy Manager, Unit Manager, Nurses, and Care Assistants.
* Manage budgets, financial planning, and report on business performance to the directors.
* Increase occupancy through effective marketing, assessments, and community engagement.
* Maintain and improve the home's CQC rating, ensuring excellence across all areas.
* Develop and implement staff training, performance management, and scheduling.
* Foster a positive, professional working environment that supports staff development and well-being.
Requirements
* NMC-registered nurse (Adult or Mental Health).
* Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Manager in an elderly nursing care home
* Proven track record of maintaining high standards and achieving at least a Good CQC rating.
* NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards).
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage, inspire, and develop a diverse care team.
