This position is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organisation.
Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, strategy, continuous improvement and projects.
Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing, collective site operational team (up to 250+ employees) through managerial & operational leads as direct reports.
Commercial Responsibility & Budget Management: Develop and manage the operational site budget, ensuring financial objectives are achieved while maintaining service & quality.
Performance Metrics: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Manage UK commercial relationships with customers, suppliers and third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective services.
A Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain Background - Essential.
~8+ Years proven General Management / Head of Department leadership experience across Warehouse & Transport operations within a 3PL / FMCG / Food environment – Essential.
~ Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams - Essential.
~ Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics and warehousing market - Essential.
~ Commutable to the Spalding (PE11) area 5 days per week - Essential.
