We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a leading Tier 1 Civils contractor’s team in the North.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Agent/Project Manager in managing the design and construction processes, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards are met.
Deliver Health, Safety, and Environmental presentations, including project inductions, toolbox talks, and team briefings.
Supervise, manage, and mentor graduate, site, and section engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and proper project documentation.
Implement and manage quality control procedures, including the preparation and/or review of Inspection & Test Plans.
Possess strong knowledge of key engineering packages such as concrete, drainage, steelwork, and brickwork.
Identify missing information and manage the RFI (Request for Information) process.
Retrieve and utilize internal and external project information as needed.
Prepare and monitor 4-weekly construction programmes, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
Significant experience in design management.
Experience in managing temporary works and lifting operations.
Strong background in quality management procedures.
Proficient in CAD software.
In-depth understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
Experience managing teams of engineers at various levels.
B.Eng/M.Eng (or equivalent) with progression to Sub Agent through internal development or external appointment.
Actively working towards professional status (e.g., ICE, CIOB, etc.).
