Role: Project Manager (SC Clearance Required) Location: Remote, with the potential for onsite work as required near Reading Duration: 12 months Rate: £550-£625 per day DoE This role has been deemed Outside IR35 You must hold active SC Clearance (or higher) to be eligible for this role. Overview: We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Project Manager to oversee the Information Services (IS) components of a large transformation project within a major defence client. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning IS deliverables with overall project goals, ensuring that infrastructure changes, system integrations, and data migrations meet quality standards, governance frameworks, and business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight & Delivery: Lead the IS components of the transformation project ensuring alignment with goals and timelines. Infrastructure Management: Oversee infrastructure updates and changes, ensuring they meet security, performance, and capacity standards. Systems Integration: Manage the integration of new and existing IS systems to support program objectives. Data Migration: Lead data migration activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality. Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure comprehensive testing across IS elements, including infrastructure, integrations, and data migration. Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to IS governance frameworks, risk management, and change control processes. Key Deliverables: Infrastructure Readiness: Approval of infrastructure changes to support project requirements. Systems Integration Plan: Detailed plans for seamless integration between systems. Data Migration Strategy: Comprehensive data migration strategy with validation reports. Testing Reports: Complete documentation of testing efforts and results. Governance Compliance: Evidence of compliance with IS governance, including risk mitigations and approvals. Key Accountabilities: Shape and manage project execution, stakeholder engagement, and delivery. Lead business engagement and stakeholder analysis. Develop high-level and detailed functional and non-functional requirements. Create solution options for capability delivery and outline ROM costs and timelines. Provide timely and accurate project reporting, addressing risks and issues. Liaise with sponsors to resolve conflicts and ensure project success. Support resource management across projects and ensure adherence to IS delivery governance. Required Knowledge & Experience: Proven experience in managing IS components within large-scale transformation programs in highly secure environments. Strong understanding of infrastructure management, systems integration, data migration, and testing. Familiarity with IS governance frameworks and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and risk management skills. The role can be carried out remotely, however, there will be an expectation to get to site near Reading as and when needed.
