Role: Sub Agent - Southern Water Project

Are you an experienced Sub Agent seeking a new challenge within the water sector? Our client, a leading contractor, is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Sub Agent to oversee and manage subcontractor work across multiple packages on a key Southern Water project in North Kent.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and review the work of subcontractors across 2-3 packages at a time, ensuring adherence to design specifications, project requirements, and quality standards.
Coordinate and monitor progress, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring packages are delivered on time and within budget.
Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, compliance, and safety performance.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to maintain clear communication and resolve any technical or logistical challenges.
Ensure subcontractors meet all health, safety, and environmental regulations in line with Southern Water standards.
Provide accurate reporting on package progress, including updates on schedules, costs, and risks.
Collaborate with the design team to address any discrepancies or technical queries that impact subcontractor work.
Support the procurement team with input on subcontractor selection and evaluation.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sub Agent or similar role within the water sector or related civil engineering industries.
Strong track record of managing subcontractor work across multiple project packages.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards within the construction and water sectors.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with subcontractors, site teams, and clients.
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (e.g., HNC/HND/BEng).
