On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Senior Quality Manager for a 12-months contract based at Puddle Dock in London. This will be hybrid role with 3 days attending the office. We at Network Rail are dedicated to becoming one of Britain's best employers and believe this starts with placing the candidate at the heart of everything we do As a Senior Quality Manager, your main responsibilities will be: Accountable for local Quality Assurance, including ensuring audit readiness, L1 assurance, performing internal audits, managing L2-3 audits, and spearheading improvement projects. Where specified, responsible for attaining and maintaining third-party and relevant customer certifications as required by the Business. Tasked with the implementation of quality procedures, risk management, and promotion of process standardisation in routine operations by evaluating process effectiveness through assurance activities and ensuring adherence to quality-related legal and contractual obligations Compile and disseminate information during key governance meetings and relay it to pertinent teams via standard briefings, distribution of assurance outputs, and adoption of best practices Maintain Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), update and communicate reporting metrics, investigate issues, and support action resolutions Monitor and review the programme team's performance through assurance activities to identify potential or actual breaches of requirements, ensure proper reporting, and take appropriate actions. Ensure timely escalation and reporting of significant quality events. Maintain the local Quality Plan in alignment with relevant programme activities Liaise with the supply chain on quality and regulatory issues, review, and report on supply chain performance. Support the quality aspects of the Contractor's management System. Use suitable techniques to assess supplier performance and identify risks, failures, and non-conformance Evaluate new end-to-end processes and practices, identifying interrelated ones that could impact the programmes. Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to address issues related to organisational performance and the delivery of quality products and services Share lessons learned across disciplines and stakeholders. Document and communicate insights across various disciplines and stakeholders Prepare and maintain standards briefings and cascades. Establish a good Quality culture within the business unit to ensure effective governance. Serve as a Quality role model and facilitator, and champion proactive quality planning to prevent issues with product and service quality. Essential: Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, preferably a certified auditor Knowledge of CDM regulations and their implementation Experience with continuous improvement frameworks and implementing change programmes The ideal candidate should be Aspiring, bright, and motivated with experience in a Quality Assurance role Willingness to take ownership with a proactive attitude Good written and verbal communication skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders Excellent project management skills, including problem-solving and solution-oriented thinking Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire Highly collaborative with strong relationship-building skills, high integrity, and emotional intelligence Resilient and effective in a demanding and fast-paced environment Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
