Our Building Services team are looking for a Estates Officer (Fire) to join the team at Mansfield Hospital.
The purpose of the role will to ensure the efficient and effective operation of electrical/ mechanical and related systems and service and the promotion of compliance to statutory and good engineering practices. Specific areas of responsibility are reflected on the Mansfield project responsibility matrix and may change from time to time as agreed with the Senior Technical Manager. Typically, responsibilities will include Authorised Person (AP) duties with respect to Fire and Medical Gasses and other aspects identified in the responsibility matrix.
You’ll:
1. Provide a reliable, responsive, efficient and economic Estates care service.
2. Be Lead Authorised Person for Fire and Medical Gas systems.
3. Undertake package management and AP duties as identified within the Responsibility Matrix. The Matrix may be reviewed and responsibilities change from time to time to align with the needs of the business.
4. Prepare, implement and control schemes of reactive/preventative planned maintenance to statutory and good engineering/industry practice, within agreed financial limits and Trust standing financial instructions.

6. 18th Edition IEE Regs qualification
7. Experience of working in Hospitals and on Hospital Infrastructure is essential, particularly with regards to maintenance of high voltage systems and low voltage systems. Acute Hospital experience preferred. Knowledge and experience of other hospital services would be an advantage, eg nurse call, air tube, etc.
8. Familiarity with Health Technical Memorandum (HTM’s) and Heath Building Notes (HBN’s) etc
