Here at Okeford Vets we are looking for a part-time Practice Manager working 24 hours per week to join our team to manage our Okehampton and Chagford practices.
We are looking for someone proactive with strong leadership and management skills to become a Practice Manager at Okeford. You should be a great problem solver and able to demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills, as well as effective team management on a daily basis. Therefore, managerial and leadership experience would be advantageous. You should also have a clean driving licence to be able to drive between sites.
The Practice Manager will work in partnership with other key members of the Practice Management team to ensure we provide an outstanding and professional service to our clients and their patients. The Clinical Director, Head Receptionist, Head Veterinary Nurse, and Practice Manager work closely together and meet weekly to ensure the smooth running of the practice. Within this role, you will be involved in all aspects of managing a multi-site team, including financial responsibility, debt control, client complaints, people management, and premises management.
The practice is well equipped and staffed with experienced professionals and provides excellent patient care. We offer first opinion small animal consultations and procedures as well as more advanced dermatology services and surgical procedures which are led by certificate-holder Veterinary Surgeons. Previous veterinary experience is not essential for this role, but you should be resourceful with strong leadership and planning skills. The ideal candidate would have strong people management and customer service skills, potentially from a retail background or similar.
