Following a successful recent hire, our client is looking for another Mechanical Engineering Technician to support their expanding operations. Key Responsibilities Ensure high levels of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) compliance for all maintenance activities. Support unplanned stoppage recovery and assist with first-line fault-finding and problem-solving. Collaborate with departments to enhance plant reliability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through FMEA/RCM studies and preventive maintenance strategies. Assist the MRO Stores Controller in optimising inventory for plant reliability and performance. Supervise contractors for maintenance and capital project activities during plant outages. Maintain detailed equipment records using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Key Requirements Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline. Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, pipelines, boilers, vessels, and heat exchangers. Knowledge of maintenance and reliability tools (FMEA, RCM, condition monitoring, CMMS). Experience with alignment techniques, ultrasonics, vibration analysis, and thermography. Understanding of pressure systems, confined space entry, risk assessments, and hot work permits. Strong reporting skills with the ability to assess, improve, and implement maintenance workflows. Why Join?
