Carer needed to provide personal care bedbound young person suffering from severe chronic fatigue following discharge home after a prolonged hospital stay.
Your role will involve providing all personal cares and putting up tube feeds and giving medication. Due to pre-existing neurodiversity there are significant sensory issues which impact on the fatigue and a need for strict attention to the details of routine.
She is currently an inpatient in hospital and it is anticipated there will be a 1-2 month training period with hospital and community staff prior to starting the role where you will be trained in how to perform all duties and to learn about chronic fatigue and the interplay with neurodiversity in this case. No previous experience is needed but a willingness to learn is essential!
Fewer days will be considered if the remaining time can be covered.
Because of the need for routine, the importance of building a trusted relationship with the carer and the training required, only applications from someone who expects to be ale to remain in post for at least 1 year will be considered.
