About the Company: Europa School of English runs fun and entertaining summer camps for our European students visiting the UK on language holidays. UK Centres for 2025 will run in Bournemouth, Exeter, Winchester, Southend-on-Sea, Bishop's Stortford. Students between the ages of 11 to 17 travel to our centres in the UK and take part in lessons in the mornings and trips and activities in the afternoons and evenings. Students stay in residential accommodation on site. Job description: The role of a Residential Activity EFL teacher is to immerse themself in the complete student experience, delivering English lessons in the mornings and running the activity program in the afternoons/evenings along with our supervisors. This position goes beyond traditional teaching roles, encompassing not only educational responsibilities but also the supervision of young individuals during their leisure time. It is imperative to ensure the well-being and diligent supervision of students, adhering rigorously to company policies. The lessons must be meticulously conducted in strict accordance with our established policies, procedures and the high standards set forth by the British Council. Requirements : Minimum 2 weeks’ availability (preferably more) – specific dates available during interview: from 30/06/2025 until 15/08/2025 (Winchester), from 30/06/2025 until 08/08/2025 (Exeter), from 30/06/2025 until 25/07/2025 (Southend-on-Sea) Currently living in UK and/ or eligible to work in UK. University degree and a level 5 (Ofqual accredited) TEFL qualification, preferably a CELTA or a TRINITY Experience and interest in working with children, an outgoing personality with the ability to lead and motivate young people. 2 up-to-date references (which will be checked). Participation in Safeguarding training (provided by us). DBS certificate or police clearance (not older than 1 year) - to be paid for by us if not available. First Aid Certificate (8 hours, not older than 2 years) Good organisational and time-management skills, ability to work independently and under pressure. Sporty or creative, reliable, flexible and open-minded. Academic-side responsibilities: Teach English in line with our syllabus (4 lessons per day from Monday to Friday (00-10.15, 10.45-12.30). Prepare classes for different levels and manage your groups effectively. Plan and deliver fun and appropriate lessons using both the Europa School of English syllabus and Schemes of work and any supplementary materials. Keep accurate records of work of your lessons. Manage student attendance via the App. Attend the paid online induction and training session(s) before starting to work with us. Participate in weekly teacher meetings on during the break time. Take part in teacher observations and brief feedback sessions conducted by our Teaching Coordinators. Participate actively in any continuing professional development sessions made available to you. Familiarise yourself with the company policies and procedures regarding safeguarding and student welfare. Evaluate students' language knowledge and advise them on how to improve their language skills on their own. Reflect critically on the school syllabus for developmental purposes. Show an awareness of the issues surrounding the teaching of English to young learners. Take immediate action (student complaints, damage reports) by reporting them to the Teaching Coordinator. Activity-side responsibilities: Accompany and supervise the students while providing a guided tour on 1 afternoon half-day trip during the week and on 1 full-day trip on Saturday/Sunday. Help prepare and implement an activity programme on 2 afternoons and 2 evenings during the week. Support the team with all other relevant tasks. Participate in activity team meetings when necessary. Remuneration : 300 GBP weekly. Travel expenses may be paid upon agreement and dependent on location. Free tea coffee and refreshments available during break time.
