DVC Sports Centre Duty Officer
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £22,900 (£11,140.54 pro-rata) per annum
Hours: Part time Evenings & Weekends (18hrs per week, all year round)
The Role
Our clients are looking to recruit a Duty Officer to join the DVC Sports Centre team in providing a customer-focused service to all learners, employees, and members.
You will be responsible for the operational day-to-day activities of the Sports Centre whilst on duty, including Customer Service, Health & Safety, and management of bookings.
As part of the Sports facility's operational management team, you will carry out day-to-day management of the facility, providing leadership and support to all staff. You will also provide, where appropriate, cover for planned and unplanned absences of staff as well as class cover when needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must hold a minimum of a Level 3 Sports or Leisure related qualification, a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, and a full First Aid at Work qualification (First Aid will need to be completed whilst in post if not already obtained).
You should have experience of supervisory responsibilities and significant knowledge of health and safety guidelines in a sports and leisure centre environment.
You will need to be able to work flexibly, as the role involves working mostly evenings and weekends on a rota basis, taking responsibility for opening and securing the premises.

DVC Sports Centre is located at Dearne Valley College and provides the local area with a diverse range of cardiovascular and muscle-strengthening equipment. There are over 25 fitness classes taking place each week, and the staff will support you to achieve your fitness goals and pursue a healthy lifestyle. While on shift, you will be responsible for the facilities and staff, ensuring customer satisfaction and being able to respond to and solve any queries or issues. You will report directly to the Centre Manager.
