Job Opportunity: Technical Manager
Role Summary:
Embark on a strategically significant role as the Technical Manager, contributing to the integral growth of my client. This entrepreneurial position involves hunting for new business opportunities, building an ever growing pipeline and converting opportunities into orders. Your proactive and collaborative approach will be key in identifying and capitalizing on sales prospects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Utilise a mixed approach to identify opportunities (Company-led, Internal, External).
* Act as a trusted advisor to architects, surveyors, contractors, and resellers, fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
* Conduct intrusive flat roof surveys, generating condition reports, specifications, and quotations.
* Focus on complete system sales opportunities
* Take ownership of decision-making in refurbishment markets.
* Deliver targets set by the National Sales Director.
* Support my client’s construction and transactional teams through roofing contractor interaction and technical support.
* Contribute to area and channel sales strategy aligned with broader business needs.
* Provide CPD presentations to target customers and potential clients.
Essential Competencies, Skills, and Experience:
* Comfortable working alone at height and using ladders.
* Full UK or Irish Driving Licence.
* Able to obtain Basic DBS clearance.
Desirable Competencies, Skills, and Experience:
* Entrepreneurial / Business Owner mindset
* Knowledge of the construction Specification industry.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes contributing to project quality.
* Experience in specifications management.
* Local market knowledge with strategic thinking capabilities.
* Ability to undertake intrusive roof surveys and write specifications.
Package:
* Basic Salary: Up to £65k (Negotiable on experience.)
* Uncapped Bonus Scheme, OTE (£150k+)
