About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team at a primary school in Banbury. The successful candidate will work closely with our teaching staff to provide exceptional support for pupils across a range of year groups. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's learning and development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
* Support students with additional learning needs, both individually and in small groups
* Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
* Provide feedback and report on students' progress
* Work with children in a range of subjects, including literacy, numeracy, and creative arts
* Help prepare classroom resources and assist with classroom displays
* Supervise students during break times and other non-classroom activities
* Contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment for all pupils
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience working with children in a school or similar environment (desirable but not essential)
* A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Patience, empathy, and flexibility
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* A basic understanding of safeguarding principles
