The future is very promising ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for an eager candidate to join us as a Social Media & Events Executive. You will be tasked with producing high-quality digital content for our main social channels, these being Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook as well as organizing company marketing & PR events aimed at customers and suppliers. ROLE DUTIES Social Media 60% Ideating and creating social media content across various social media platforms for Woods Foodservice, collaborating with others including from Marketing, Procurement, Business Relations/Development and Customer Account Management. Social Media Management: Develop and execute multichannel social media campaigns with a strategic approach, planning content at least one quarter ahead. Regularly analyse engagement metrics to optimise performance. Oversee content approvals across all channels in advance, ensuring consistency and brand alignment. Manage budgeting for social media initiatives to maximise impact and reach. Content creation: Create engaging photo, video, and graphic content, including video/reel editing, to appeal to our target audience of high end chefs. Write compelling copy for posts and develop creative strategies to generate fresh, relevant content ideas. Collaborate closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to plan and produce content. Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, fostering opportunities to collaborate on content. Stay active and responsive by engaging with relevant accounts, replying to direct messages and comments. and Shoot days out of office and on-site creating on-brand engaging content including: Capturing high-quality photos and videos for digital media use. Producing and editing various video content formats, including content with voiceovers and subtitles. Producing and creating graphics for social media use. Assisting Marketing Team and other departments with innovative ideas for content. Collaborating with suppliers, customers, and external companies to create high-quality content. Carry out daily checks on social media, replying to comments, messages, and make sure that we are following and engaging with relevant industry related social accounts, forwarding on any new leads to the sales team. Fully understand our brand & tone of voice & create engaging, high-quality content that represents that. Your role will also monitor social media trends, competitor activities and industry developments to continuously improve our social media presence and performance. Events 30% Event Management: Planning and organising all events throughout the year from start to finish. Including supplier trips, internal and external demos, market day, internal workshops etc; Budget management for events. Logistics planning. Hold debrief meetings post events to outline what worked well and how we can improve next time. Working with external companies. Monitoring attendance. Risk assessments. Pre and Post - event communication. Coordinating staff. Planning and organisation of all event marketing and campaigns.: Event design. Client feedback. Market Research 10% Research across all areas of marketing including target markets, customers, competitors, and industry trends. Interviewing customers – gaining relevant feedback. Conducting primary and secondary research.Customer profiling. Trend analysis and market forecasting. REQUIREMENTS Post-Secondary qualification e.g.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Prior experience of working in social media related role(s). Portfolio of previous content work, ideally food related. Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns. Have a strong understanding of how social media works for B2B (ideally food related) and how to best utilise it. Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms and analytics tools. Experience in organizing and marketing events for clients/customers/suppliers. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Market research experience. Experience in photography and videography. Competence in video and photo editing for social media. Expertise in various editing platforms such as Canva and Adobe. Attention to detail, accuracy, and concentration. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with people. Able to collaborate with others to create content. Very good organization and planning skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
