Job Overview
The officer will support Sevenoaks District Council’s Housing Options and Solutions team. With extensive housing knowledge and experience, you’ll work to assist in preventing and reducing homelessness in the district.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as a first point of contact for customers, triaging them through a rapid initial assessment of their needs and circumstances.
2. Provide comprehensive advice and guidance, directing customers to the correct service and aiding with early interventions such as mediation.
3. Ensure customers receive the support they need.
4. Provide coordination and administration support and assist with day-to-day activities.
Qualifications and Experience
If you have experience in providing advice and support and dealing with vulnerable customers, you’ll know it takes effective communication and empathy, as well as the ability to work to deadlines and in difficult situations.
Working Arrangement
This role will be based at our Council Offices. We currently operate a hybrid working model where your working time will be divided between the office (2-3 days) and home working (2-3 days).
