TUV UK Ltd are actively recruiting for an enthusiastic self-motivated Welding Engineer to join our Welding Engineering team in the UK. There is also an opportunity for a Trainee Welding Engineer to join the team.
The role will include but is not limited to:
* Witnessing and verification of WPQR & WQTC test coupon(s).
* Development & certification of WPQR & WQTC packages in accordance with European, International and Customer specifications.
* Raise P. O’s and issue technical instructions with accredited laboratories in accordance with European, International and Customer specifications.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.
* Liaising with and providing technical support to clients.
* Good project management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skill, both oral and written.
* Travel to client sites within the UK.
Previous experience in a similar role or a background in welding would be desirable. Training opportunities will be provided if required to the successful candidate.
Previous knowledge of BS EN ISO, ASME and AWS welding standards and codes is highly desirable.
The role will require regular travel so a clean UK driving licence is essential. Salary is dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications & skill set. The successful candidate will ideally be based in the South / South West of the UK.
