About the Opportunity
Caley Water is opening up a Graduate Position to potential candidates, primarily looking for students currently in their final year of study, however we are open to considering CV’s from any suitable candidates who wish to apply.
Graduates can expect to be directly involved in the delivery of several hydraulic modelling projects, whilst also building an experience of client interaction and a knowledge of the inner workings of a consultancy business. The type of work and tasks will include:
1. Learning and utilising the InfoWorks ICM and HEC-RAS software packages to complete various hydraulic modelling assessments on water, wastewater and river networks.
2. Understanding and using supplementary programs to aid in the completion of hydraulic modelling projects such as QGIS, Microsoft Office, Python, SQL and AutoDesk.
3. Completing data collection elements of projects including project start up meetings, site survey management and site survey investigations.
About You
We are looking for candidates firstly with an interest and desire to work within the water and wastewater industry, who can then begin to provide a real input into the direction of future infrastructure and development schemes. Potential candidates would be expected to be:
* Studying towards or have graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) based subject.
* Have an ability for problem solving, enjoy independent working and are able to grasp new ideas and information.
* Have experience and base level understanding of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
* Possess a good level of verbal and written communication skills, to coordinate with other staff and clients.

Working Hours – 5 days a week (37.5 hours)
