We are working exclusively with our client to identify a 2nd Line IT Technician for an onsite role in Southend, Essex. The main duty of this position is to ensure the efficient functioning of IT systems, delivering high levels of service to users, and promptly addressing incidents and requests. Main Duties: Administering Microsoft 365 Providing desk-side and remote support to end-users for hardware and software issues Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance Maintaining and updating technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness Act as an escalation point from 1st Line colleagues Experience: Current 2nd line IT support position Modern/Cloud solution understanding Microsoft 365 administration AzureAD/EntraID/Active Directory - Identity and Access Management (IAM): App integrations and single sign-on (SSO)/Passwordless and multifactor authentication (MFA)/Conditional access etc. Microsoft Intune endpoint management solution Windows 7/8/10/11 environments IP networking (DNS, DHCP) Virtualization tools/platform knowledge (Hyper-V/VMware) Exchange Server Help desk ticketing system Desirable: Previous work with Sophos or other cyber security solutions: Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Endpoint Protection, Email Security, Firewalls, Switches, Wi-Fi Formal IT education/qualifications are highly desirable A curious technologist/tech enthusiast
