Job Purpose: This is a key role supporting both the Engineering and Commercial businesses in providing an industry leading quote, bind and onboarding experience for all new and prospective Engineering Inspection customers. This new role will aim to increase profitable revenue through the accurate pricing of all new Engineering Inspection opportunities, effective communication with brokers, customers and internal stakeholders and co-ordinate the transition of new customers into the business. Key Responsibilities: Contribute towards the achievement of profitable growth by understanding and executing agreed pricing strategies in support of the Engineering Portfolio Manager. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring engagement and ‘buy in’ to enable delivery of HSB’s growth plans and maximise potential opportunities. Qualify, price, quote and negotiate all Engineering Inspection new business opportunities accurately and promptly to meet customer expectations, collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure that quotes are only provided where HSB has the capability and capacity to deliver the service. Proactively follow-up and obtain feedback from customers on all quotes issued in order to maintain accurate status records in support of declinature analysis. Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers, Development Underwriters and the Bid Co-Ordinator on large opportunities to ensure a joined-up and effectively communicated proposal is delivered to the customer. Manage the conversion of successful quotes into contracts, ensuring accurate policy, schedule and checklist details to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements. Co-ordinate the onboarding of all new Engineering Inspection customers into HSB, providing an exemplary customer experience throughout by applying HSB’s Customer First approach in all stakeholder management activities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify up-sell of Engineering Inspection services and cross-sell of Engineering Consultancy services and Engineering Insurance products. Act as a referral point for colleagues in line with pricing authority to ensure consistent service delivery and achievement of targets and the wider business strategies. Ensure all issues are resolved promptly ensuring ‘Customer First’ approach. Maintain accurate records within HSB systems, populating with all client interactions and activities to enable and support future opportunities. Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to create a culture of high performance within the team, leading by example in adhering to the HSB behavioural standards. Ensure compliance with all internal and industry and regulatory requirements at all times Attend training to ensure development of required knowledge and skills to enable effective undertaking of the role. Undertake any other project or work as directed by the Engineering Portfolio Manager and commensurate with role. Key Skills and Experience: Essential Thorough understanding of UK engineering inspection services. Awareness of Machinery & Technology Combined insurance (SUD) product. Strong trading capability – commercial awareness and ability to build strong client relationships. Understanding of EISL pricing governance and controls. Established operator of MS Productivity tools and Adobe. Advantageous Experience of underwriting existing Engineering services, operating fixed rate pricing calculators etc. Ability to apply high level strategic planning concepts. Experience of HSB’s Engineering and Commercial IT systems. Excellent project/programme management skills. Qualifications and Educational Requirements : Demonstrable relevant industry experience.
