Job summary This is a new ANP role that allows the successful candidate to work across Hawthorm Medical Centre- Walk-in Service. There is flexibility about which days or hours you work. Our core hours are Monday-Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm. The successful candidate's timetable can be flexibly organised around their needs in consideration with the needs of the population at Hawthorn. Main duties of the job The post holder will demonstrate courageous and critical thinking and is a caring, compassionate and committed experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, competent clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients. The post holder will commit to demonstrating critical thinking in the safe clinical decision-making process. They will communicate and work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. About us Hawthorn Medical Centre has a registered list of 6000 patients and an unregistered walk-in element that sees 15000 patients a year. We are looking for ANPs to join our established team of ANPs and GPs that run the walk-in service. Each day is different, so you need to have great diagnosis skills and be able to think on your feet.
