We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced bookkeeper to join an accountancy practice in Chester. Reporting to senior staff you will be responsible for bookkeeping in accordance with company procedures and meeting all necessary deadlines.
Role duties and responsibilities:
* Data entry and processing.
* Purchase ledger management and reconciliations.
* Sales ledger management and reconciliations.
* Bank reconciliations.
* Preparation of VAT returns.
* Entering journals.
* Management reporting.
* Complete bookkeeping to Trial Balance ready for accounts production.
* Liaising with HMRC.
* Regular communication with clients, to include occasional visits to client premises.
* Resolving client queries.
* Ad hoc related tasks that may arise
The ideal candidate:
* Management Accounts preparation experience desirable.
* The ability to work both within a small team and alone essential.
* Very good knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, HubDoc and other cloud-based software
* AAT L3/L4 or qualified by experience essential.
* Minimum 2 years practice experience desirable.
