Job Description
We now require a Business Analyst to support Underwriting Reinsurance Operations leveraging Technology to improve efficiency, confidence in data quality and reduce cost for the organisation. Responsible for supporting and managing strategies for application roadmaps in conjunction with Product Owner and implementing changes (both Technical and Business).
Responsibilities
* Define and Lead Initiatives that will ultimately drive the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of technology within Portfolio Operations balancing investment (budget) requirements and benefit realisation.
* Define and Validate requirements (data and application using a variety of classical techniques to document) of needs of the user community in support of the Reinsurance strategies across Technology Platforms (e.g. RUP and P&C Data Platform).
* Lead and mentor the analysts in Reinsurance by providing guidance, feedback, coaching and training to the team members within Operations or IT.
* Communicate and collaborate with SCOR Reinsurance stakeholders by establishing and maintaining effective relationships, and understand their expectations, needs, and preferences.
* Propose strategies/changes and assume Budget responsibility to help reduce the cost of maintenance activities in Reinsurance systems.
* Identify and implement changes to continually align Reinsurance Operations across SCOR Globally.
* Collaborate with Data and Processing Operational Teams to improve the quality and confidence of data within RUP and the Reinsurance universe.
* Continually identify and deliver operational level actions that will advance the strategic priorities for SCOR Reinsurance Operations, working with colleagues to implement actions (technology or change-based).
Qualifications
Required experience & competencies
* Previous experience as an Analyst leading Technology Projects, defining requirements and working with IT Development Teams.
* Analytical Notation Languages such as UML, BPMN.
* Technical Expertise with Data, SQL Server, Mongo.
* Data Analysis including Data Profiling, Assessment.
* Software Development Methodologies (Agile).
* Proactive and collaborative.
* Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions.
* Working in a fast-paced environment, being able to triage and prioritise.
* Effective Communication Skills being able to facilitate workshop sessions and negotiate requirements.
Desired
* Master's Degree or Insurance Related Certification.
Required Education
* Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science or any related technical degree.
