Position Summary
The Kendo Brands Skin Care Specialist is a field-based role responsible for the Facial Services programs that brings brand DNA, storytelling, and product passion for KENDO Brands to life at store level across all retail distribution. As a Brand Ambassador and inspirational coach, the Skin Care Specialist will be instrumental in delivering our brands unique point of difference and driving KPI’s by exceptional delivery of product knowledge, skincare techniques, service standards and selling behaviors in store and supporting events. An exciting multi-faceted role, as a brand and product expert they will be able to move seamlessly between inspiring and exciting retailer employed consultants and educating and empowering customers at point of sale and in treatment rooms. The goal is to extend brand awareness and sales conversion through engagement and storytelling and enhancing performance, productivity and bringing the unique DNA of Kendo to life in our market.
Partnering with the Field Sales Team, they will help identify opportunities to further promote the success of their brands through supporting events and product launches. Combining commerciality with creativity, they take responsibility for and pride in the success of the stores and the development of the teams they work with. No two days are ever the same, and the role will require travel within the UK to spread your wisdom, enthusiasm, and passion for our brands.
Job Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct OLE Skin Treatments
2. Provide personalized skincare diagnosis and consultation to customers and booking of skincare treatment service.
3. Educate customers on Kendo skin care products, in particular on skincare application techniques and routines.
4. Achieve retail sales targets and facial targets on a monthly basis.
5. Support team with planning and executing key events and PR activities when requested.
6. Manage client bookings and build client profile tailored to treatments offered.
7. Attend regular bespoke training and ensure product and service knowledge is promoted.
8. Sell products and skincare treatments and provide a high standard of service to customers throughout the whole sale via professional selling techniques.
9. Able to cross sell makeup and fragrance.
10. Coach Beauty Consultants on their skincare diagnosis, consultation and gestures and application tips.
11. Ensure that treatment rooms are always in line with hygiene and quality standards.
12. Monitor stock levels, report any issues to HO & store managers to ensure there is sufficient stock, particularly on skincare products.
13. Conduct all assigned operational and administrative tasks.
14. Adhere to Kendo’s grooming guidelines and store standards.
15. Represent the brand values towards the client and always demonstrates a professional attitude.
Skills & Knowledge
1. Selling skills and Customer-service skills
2. Confirmed aptitude on skincare application on face and body, especially on high level skincare treatments and use of skincare tools.
3. Completed training on skincare knowledge, face, and body applications.
4. Excellent product knowledge on cosmetics, in particular skincare and skincare treatment
5. Excellent knowledge on the face and body anatomy, muscles, skin and how it functions.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in “local language”.
IN STORE SELLING EVENTS
1. Able and willing to coach and develop people in skincare diagnosis & consultation.
2. Leading In store events and marketing activities – timely reporting of sales results and achievements.
3. Building strong relationships within store management and team.
4. Supporting in store and retailer led events programme to ensure brand standards and guidelines are consistently met.
5. Working with the field Sales and Education team to conceptualise seasonal events and masterclasses within each store.
6. Coaching and inspiring in store teams to increase their brand knowledge and skills and retail sales performance.
INTERNAL
1. Work within Company travel and expense budgets, following established guidelines and procedures.
2. Additional duties may be required, depending on skill set, market trends, and business needs.
3. Maintain excellent communication with field sales partners, store management and training department with LMS, sales reports and regular updates on all event activity at store level.
Profile
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Possess formal skincare treatment professional certificate, NVQ or Diploma. Previous professional treatment experience and understanding of skin analysis. Experience of working in luxury retail environment but not essential. Preferably with skincare business experience.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Passionate, Enthusiastic, and inspirational. Strong Commercial Selling Skills. Confident to quickly build rapport and relationships with the in-store Management teams, consultants & customers. A confident and engaging communicator and presenter – Face to face & Virtually. Experienced at working on and leading in store events. Experience in delivering coaching sessions at counter level. This role is a field-based role and will require flexibility and the ability to travel with overnight stays. Ability to travel 60% of the time. High-level attention to detail and accuracy in execution of work and tasks. Basic computer skills. A good understanding and awareness of all social media platforms. The Ability to create & edit video content would be an advantage.
