A newly formed team is searching for an Azure Engineer to bridge the gap between frameworks and create robust DevOps environments from scratch. This role is ideal for someone who can influence the direction and build of our infrastructure, utilizing tools like Azure and Docker for comprehensive assessments and migrations. This is pretty much an entirely greenfield environment, and the team need someone proactive and passionate to support them in defining project scope across the next few years. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Design and implement Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) using tools like Terraform for environment building. Create and manage Azure environments, moving beyond mere execution of predefined tasks. Influence infrastructure projects from the ground up, including assessment, categorization, and migration of on-premises systems to cloud-based solutions. Utilize Azure and Docker for detailed technical assessments and strategic migration planning. Engineer secure and resilient connectivity solutions and integrate sophisticated cloud-based services. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven enterprise-level experience in technical assessments and cloud migrations, specifically to Azure. Experience with Azure Migrate, including Discovery and Assessment, and Migration and Modernization. Demonstrable experience in building solutions using Microsoft Azure Resources and Azure security technologies. Skilled in engineering event-driven solutions with Azure Event Grid and other Azure services. In-depth knowledge of SecOps, penetration testing methodologies, and threat hunting. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform, and scripting languages like PowerShell. Relevant Microsoft certifications: Azure Administrator, Azure Security Technologies (AZ-900 / AZ-500). Ability to collaborate effectively across various IT domains and with subject matter experts.
