Job summary
We are pleased to introduce a new temporary Band 6 Workforce Planning and OD Project Manager post to support our mental health services with workforce planning. Please note that existing NHS staff would need to submit a request to their current line manager to be released on secondment until 31/10/2025. Non-NHS staff would be appointed on a fixed term contract until 31/10/2025.
If you have a passion for training and upskilling others; excellent experience in data analysis and workforce information systems and have a good understanding of workforce planning, or are keen to learn more about this important area of Workforce and OD; then we would welcome your application.
Note the interview date will be on Friday 27th September 2024 via Microsoft Teams and will require a short presentation. The topic will be confirmed in the interview invite.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post are to work with a range of professions within our mental health services to:
1. upskill in the Skills for Health Six Steps Integrated Workforce Planning Methodology, designing and delivering various learning solutions as appropriate, including workshops
2. support, provide guidance and facilitate service and workforce re-design
3. design and implement workforce analysis and modelling tools
4. project manage and assist with the delivery of various workforce planning requirements
5. provide regular reports, presentations and briefings

8. Able to facilitate training sessions/ workshops, present work and give briefings at various meetings and boards
9. Although home working is available, the post holder will be required to travel within, and on occasion, beyond the SBU Health Board area to facilitate or attend relevant face to face events, as and when required (use of own car will be essential.
