Job summary Role: Phlebotomist Responsible to: Lead Nurse Clinically Managing Partner Administratively Hours: TBC Salary: base on experience Job summary Jorvik Gillygate Practice is looking to expand our team we are looking for a suitably qualified phlebotomist to join us. Working under the direct supervision of the senior practice nurse and GP Partners strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. We are looking for a Phlebotomist on a permanent contract, number of hours to be confirmed. The Phlebotomist will support the practice nursing and administrative teams in the delivery of clinical and administrative services, working as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. The Phlebotomist will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education whilst also supporting the administrative team on an as-required basis. Main duties of the job The post holder works under direct supervision of the lead practice nurse and undertake tasks and duties delegated by the practice lead nurse or a suitably qualified regulated professional. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, following policy and procedures.
