The New Guild Trust are seeking to appoint a part time Premises Assistant, over 2 of our Academy Schools. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the maintenance and security of the school premises and site, ensuring a safe working environment. The hours will be split between Alexandra Junior School and Alexandra Infant school sites at the start and end of day, alongside other planned duty hours during term time. Hours will be from 6.30am - 9.30am. The contract will be based upon 52 weeks which will mean during non-term time you will be required to work 15 hours to support the premises officer. Additional hours may be available to cover at busy times, holidays etc. We are looking for a committed, hardworking and trustworthy individual to be part of our friendly team. Duties: Act as a designated key holder, providing emergency access to the school site Ensure that buildings and site are secure, undertaking daily security checks including locking and unlocking of buildings pre-determined times Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazards are identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediately Undertake general portage duties including moving furniture and equipment within school Undertake minor repairs and maintenance of the buildings and site Replacing such consumables on the premises in appropriate locations Operate systems such as heating, cooling, lighting and security (including CCTV and alarms) Periodic cleaning of designated areas of the school building and grounds according to instructions Any other duties appropriate to the post.
