By providing a variety of interventions, we support close to 2000 people a year in treatment, empowering them to achieve their recovery goals and live healthier, happier lives. The role of Outreach and Engagement Team Leader is an exciting one and no day is the same. Leading a team of workers who each specialise in a different pathway, your team has a couple of different aims; facilitating increased access to treatment by being based in community satellites across the borough, e.g. hospital, mental health services and homelessness services and providing a quality service to the people they support. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and have operational oversight of a number of different professional relationships within the borough. CGL Newham Rise is an established service but there are always opportunities to innovate and nurture new connections to ensure we are accessing as many people who need us in the borough as possible. On a day-to-day basis, you will be based across our 3 treatment hubs providing 1-1 support and advice to your team, and the wider CGL Newham team. You will support your team with professional development and contribute towards the service’s overall objectives. Full time Hours: 37.5 per week Full Time Salary Range: £34,700.09 - £36,635.38 dependent on experience, pro rata if part time hours Allowance: £4072.06 Inner London Weighting, Pro rata Contract Type: Permanent About the role: Operational line management of a team of staff which includes supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal, performance and sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow CGL and external policies applicable to their roles Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control and opportunities that assist service users reaching their full potential as individuals and community members. Manage the rota of staff, working with other managers to ensure all elements of the service are covered appropriately. Participate in management on-call duty/rota Support staff to improve service user outcomes through observed practice, providing timely values based feedback Working with the management team, maintain strong governance and monitoring systems, ensuring a consistent, high quality service and ensure professional standards are met and best practice is implemented To engage with people from the under-represented groups who have substance misuse problems and provide them with advice, screening and clinical interventions to address their substance misuse issues, and primary health care (including blood borne viruses) Take responsibility for co-ordinating publicity, promotion and dissemination of information about CGL Services to communities within an overall objective of encouraging uptake of treatment in services by the diverse/underrepresented community groups To provide recovery coaching using a broad range of psychosocial interventions. Produce relevant reports, action plans and developmental service frameworks in response to needs of the organisation and managerial requests.
