Due to our continued growth we are now looking for an experienced HGV driver/Operator to join our Transport team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, reliable and hard-working person who can both work in a team, on their own and play an active part in the further development of Loadhog’s busy transport department.
What is the role?
Reporting to the transport manager your tasks will be varied and will include:
* Driving between sites and suppliers whilst maintaining high standards of health and safety
* Upholding legal compliance for road transport legislation
* Loading and unloading pallets across our warehouses
* Partaking in regular stock takes
* Maintenance of 5S standards and general housekeeping
* Assisting with general warehouse operations
The working hours for this position will be 40 hours over 4 days.
Who you are
To be considered for this role, you must be:
* In possession of a C+E driving licence (essential), with a counterbalance/reach forklift truck licence at a distinct advantage
* Trained to operate category C+E vehicles
* A holder of a CPC card
* In possession of a digital tachograph card
* Willing to drive into the EU
* Able to have a flexible approach and be willing to work in a factory environment if required
* Willing to do night shifts as and when required
* Highly motivated and hard working with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
* Able to prioritise tasks to maintain an effective operation whilst being flexible to ‘on demand’ requirements
* Willing to be able to work to time-sensitive deadlines
* Enthusiastic, with a good work ethic, willingness to learn and ability to work on your own initiative
* Numerate and able to communicate both verbally and written in a clear and concise manner
