About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications, and adapting to the needs of students joining mid-year by providing tailored bridging materials and accelerated learning pathways. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of academically gifted students, incorporating diverse biological perspectives and methodologies, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their scientific development, despite the mid-year commencement. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including advanced laboratory experiments, data analysis, research projects, and scientific literature, to enhance student learning and foster a deep understanding of biological principles. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of biological concepts and skills, and helping students integrate mid-year by providing targeted assessments and personalized feedback. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Biology examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and scientific methodologies, and providing targeted support for those joining mid-year by focusing on key concepts and exam techniques. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Biology, including advanced biological concepts and laboratory techniques. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Biology examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students, including those joining mid-year. A passion for biology and a commitment to fostering scientific inquiry and research skills. Ability to organize and lead laboratory investigations and research projects.
