Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. To be qualified to either DCR(T) or BSc Radiotherapy.
2. Registered Radiographer - operator, referrer and practitioner.
3. Management qualifications.
4. Post graduate qualification at 'M' level or working towards.
Desirable criteria
1. Evidence of working at 'M' level.
Experience/ Knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Demonstrates experience of CPD.
2. Previous management experience.
3. Range of clinical experience.
4. To have worked in a clinical environment.
5. Have worked within a multi-disciplinary team.
6. Knowledge of relevant national standards.
7. Knowledge of National Cancer waiting targets.
8. Knowledge of NHS and Cancer plan.
9. Knowledge of Trust and Centre strategic plan.
10. Knowledge of academic / educational training requirements.
11. Knowledge of national, local and Trust policies for all aspects of radiotherapy services.
Skills
Essential criteria
1. Ability to drive service development.
2. Knowledge of radiotherapy techniques including Brachytherapy.
3. Ability to teach and train all levels of staff clinically.
4. Previous supervisory experience.
5. Experience on computerised treatment associated equipment.
6. Knowledge of the whole range of radiotherapy service and associated organisations.
7. Demonstrate presentation skills.
8. Legible handwriting.
9. Leadership skills.
10. Able to work under pressure and cope with stressful situations.
