Atlas Copco has an exciting opportunity for time served Field Service Engineers to join their team – could this be you?
As market leader in the compressed air industry and the home of industrial ideas – our customers benefit from innovative products and services such as air compressors, dryers, industrial gas generation, blowers, and chillers. We are looking for field-based service engineers to join our operations team and provide onsite support to our customers. Reporting to our dedicated Regional Service Managers, the successful candidates will have a passion for mechanical and electrical maintenance and thrive on the challenges this can bring. Our service engineers take pride in their work and in representing Atlas Copco as market leader, providing first class service and operational excellence.
The role:
1. Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on all brands of air compressors, dryers, gas generators, and ancillary equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
3. Document all work performed daily using company provided hardware and software.
4. Develop relationships with customers.
5. Provide basic tools to accomplish job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment.
6. Develop by learning VSD's, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
7. Respond to customer needs and work to satisfy customer expectations.
8. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and be able to work overtime on short notice.
9. Promote the Atlas Copco "Way". Learn and share knowledge, experiences and training with teammates to increase one's own knowledge and knowledge of others.
10. Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment.
11. Work as a team sharing knowledge with colleagues and participate in training of self and others.
12. Contribute to positive Company branding by maintaining a professional and customer-oriented image.
13. Take whatever action is appropriate and required.
To succeed, you will need:
1. Previous experience in an industrial electrical or mechanical position.
2. Mechanical or electrical qualification. Although, we understand you might be qualified by experience.
3. Full UK driving licence – with less than 4 points.
4. Computer literacy, can learn new systems.
5. Flexibility to participate in the call out rota.
6. You will work on-site, and will need to travel throughout your region.
