About the Role
You must be an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young children. We are seeking to employ a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join our supportive team at The Greens. This role involves working with a small class of students who have complex Special Educational Needs (SEN) and additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student.
* Develop and implement One page profiles and risk assessments for students, setting achievable targets and monitoring progress.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters students’ academic and personal growth.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support the diverse needs of the students.
* Maintain regular communication with parents/carers to keep them informed of their child's progress.
* Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in teaching primary-aged children. *ECT programme offered for newly qualified teachers.
* Proven experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
