Marketing Manager Adult
Ontex is a leading international provider of disposable personal hygiene solutions for all generations. With a global team of around 7,500 employees, we develop, produce and distribute in about 100 countries through leading retailers and healthcare providers. Ontex was founded in Belgium in 1979 and is listed on Euronext Brussels.
To reinforce our Marketing team we are looking for a Marketing Manager Adult.
Job purpose
1. To plan, design, develop and implement marketing strategies that fit channel tactics and support corporate growth plans. They will lead the full scope of marketing within the branded adult care portfolio and use the full marketing mix to contribute to sales growth through offline and online campaigns, research, conferences, PR, digital (web platforms, events, apps and some social media).
2. Main responsibilities and key tasks
3. Adapt and align the global brand/product strategy to the local needs, guide, monitor and implement across UK & Ireland.
4. Create the marketing strategy, devise the marketing plan and then execute it for Ontex brands in UK & Ireland.
5. Plan and manage the local marketing budget and prioritise resource allocation, deploy resources strategically and monitor to ensure execution and efficient use of resources across brands and channel (briefing, procuring and selecting agencies as necessary).
6. Develop and complete brand communication campaigns to support the marketing strategy across multiple channels with clear KPI’s in UK & Ireland. Share monthly content with other countries.
7. Full responsibility for trade exhibitions and conferences, ensuring event briefs are clear with measurable KPI and ROI.
8. Accomplish efficient product launches (including the internal briefing) across the multiple channels through an effective soft and hard launch.
9. Work directly with product managers to understand all product change implications and write the external product change communication.
10. Design and update necessary educational tools, sales tools, marketing collateral and tender presentations to best position Ontex and Ontex brands to win and retain business – attending important customer meetings when needed.
Job requirements
11. Experienced Marketing professional with Bachelor’s Marketing Degree. At least 6 years’ experience in a similar position, in Healthcare market is a plus but not essential.
12. Experience of, or willing to learn, the Adobe Suite including InDesign and Illustrator.
13. Knowledge of the route to market in Home Delivery channels an advantage
14. Product or services marketing experience B2B & B2C
15. Strong communication skills, including the ability to work and build bridges with other departments
16. Able to brief accurately and convincingly to a range of audiences
17. Problem solving skills
18. Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines in complex environments
19. Strong analytical skills
20. Strong presentation skills both internally and externally
21. Experience in procuring and working with external agencies
22. Interest in the detail of the product
23. High levels of computer literacy (word, excel, PowerPoint, design and/or web software, database tools)
24. Required to be organised, structured pro-active and perseverant
25. Ability to adapt to change quickly and efficiently
26. Strong business acumen and constructive entrepreneurial spirit

29. Multi-channels with different needs (NHS Home delivery, Distributor, Pharmacy and e-commerce/self-pay) and must be consolidated into a global marketing plan. Focused on Ontex brands iD & Lille
30. Working in Matrix Environment: being a member of UK & Ireland team and working functionally with divisional marketing team
31. Understanding, or being willing to learn, different channels and different country legislation in UK, ROI and EU.
Accountability and scope factors
32. Lead the annual budgeting process for the department, and budget management
33. Decision making authority for media spend and partnerships per channel
34. Product Lifecyle, monitor and manage all Ontex brand product changes in UK & Ireland
35. Product Launches responsibility for effective launch of all Ontex brand products in UK & Ireland
36. Become an expert in iD & Lille product range (full training given).
37. Full responsibility for event management with effective ROI
38. Trade and B2B marketing (incl some Category Management), and setting the KPI’s
39. Be the key driver for B2B2C initiative
40. Assist UK & Ireland Account Managers & Nurse Advisors to realise and achieve their goals
41. Write and deploy the internal and external communication in UK & Ireland
42. Accuracy and getting it right first time is essential.
43. Needs to be able to build and maintain relationships both internally with Ontex UK, the wider Ontex company and with Ontex’s clients.
