Purpose and Scope: Required to administrate the submission of project related documentation as directed, between Amentum, Client and the Supply Chain via the EDMS. Document Controller will ensure compliance with the client & Amentum Document Control requirements. The role is required for a major multi-billion pound capital nuclear design and construction programme and is responsible for both quality assurance and quality control. Essential Responsibilities: To follow the Amentum Training Plan, working through all of the required training specifics until all have been signed off as completed by the Document Control Manager. Provide support to Document Controllers with delegated duties. Work closely and proactively with the Project supply chain to help drive improvements and adhere to a right first time submission. Carry out routine Document Control activities for the company, including document release, publishing, query handling, copying scanning and library management. Provide support to departments in the issue, receipt and tracking of all documentation both electronically and hardcopy where applicable. Under the guidance of the Document Controllers, follow the document control procedures. Willingness to provide support regarding document numbering and the application of metadata to the Project team, referring to the related Procedures and seeking advice from DC colleagues to do. Attend regular Project Team meetings to provide updates, advice and support. With particular consideration paid to understanding the scope of the Project that is being delivered. File, distribute, store and destroy highly sensitive information. Ensuring that the Projects are all fully complaint with the Document Control requirements of the client and Amentum. Maintain confidentiality and security of information. Interface with the client/wider Amentum organisation to represent, share and learn about other work areas. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested by Line Manager. Competencies/Qualifications/Experience: High School education An interest in the management of the Document Control Function and document control systems. Excellent IT Literacy skills (MS Office & Adobe Pro etc). Experience of working in highly regulated industry will be advantageous (nuclear preferred) Excellent communication and people skills. Ability to recognize and respond to situations in ways to harmonise conflict. Be able to present and analyse data in a variety of means. Excellent time management, planning, organisation and prioritisation skills. Must be willing to train and learn, with continued CPD. Must have experience of working within large teams and have excellent interpersonal skills, recognizing the importance of building great relationships with colleagues and clients. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Must possess planning/organization skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
