Provide clinical management and leadership of a therapy team to achieve high quality, responsive and efficient care alongside a supportive role for the whole of therapy services to include operational and service development support under the direction of the Clinical Services Therapy Leads for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy To take a lead role in advanced assessment and treatment of female, male and paediatric pelvic health patients, who will often have highly complex and/or chronic presentation and for whom embarrassment and/or anxiety will often provide a barrier to communication. Use of advanced clinical reasoning skills to determine clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated and to maintain records as an autonomous practitioner To keep abreast of new research and development within the speciality, identifying any learning needs within the team and arrange training as necessary To provide leadership and line management to integrated therapy staff in the pelvic health speciality and wider department including recruitment, appraisals, performance and sickness absence management. To be responsible for service development within the speciality and wider service development workstreams To implement policy and policy changes in own clinical area, which affect the whole service and the Trust. To support implementation to the therapy-wide service To plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate the therapy service (occupational therapy and physiotherapy) provided to the speciality on a day-to-day basis. This includes ensuring the teams workload is appropriately prioritised and work is effectively distributed and co-ordinated across the team on a day-to-day basis.
