University Hospital Monklands Locum Consultant Physician in Respiratory & General Medicine University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is looking for a Locum Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Medicine to join its existing team of Consultants and wider multi-disciplinary team for a period of 6 months. The Respiratory team at UHM provides a range of specialist services including clinics for COPD, Asthma, Lung Cancer, Pleural Disease and Interstitial Lung Disease. Medical Thorascocopy, Bronchoscopy and EBUS are carried out in the hospital’s well-supported Day Surgery Unit and Endoscopy Suite. The Department also has a well-established Respiratory Investigation Centre. Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals who are keen to contribute to the ongoing development of Respiratory services at UHM. Sub-specialty clinical interests would be welcomed and supported. It is an exciting time to join UHM with the location of our new hospital now identified. This will be Scotland’s first digital hospital which, through the use of available technologies, will enhance the patient journey and staff experience.
