We are seeking a dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Head of IT to drive our digital strategy, oversee critical IT operations, and lead a dedicated team in delivering cutting-edge, secure, and user-friendly technology solutions.
About the Role
As the CTO / Head of IT, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, implementation, and security of all IT services within the school. You will play a key role in ensuring that IT infrastructure supports both academic excellence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a long-term IT strategy aligned with the school’s educational and operational goals.
* Manage IT budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and innovation.
* Oversee IT systems development, ensuring seamless integration and support for academic and administrative functions.
* Ensure data security, cyber resilience, and compliance with safeguarding and data protection regulations.
* Maintain high-performance network, server, storage, and email systems to support the school’s needs.
* Lead and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Oversee IT helpdesk services to ensure a first-class user experience for staff and students.
* Manage relationships with external IT service providers and ensure the effective delivery of outsourced IT functions.
* Support the school’s digital learning initiatives and contribute to co-curricular programmes where relevant.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally within an educational or complex organisational environment.
* Strong strategic vision with the ability to align IT services with institutional objectives.
* Expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and network management.
* Excellent project management skills with experience leading large-scale IT implementations.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and data protection in an educational setting.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
