Why Greencore?
We're a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK and our purpose is to make everyday taste better.
We're a vibrant, fast-paced leading food manufacturer, employing around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots across the UK. We supply all the UK's food retailers with everything from sandwiches, soups, and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles, and ready meals. In FY23, we generated revenues of £1.9bn.
Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.
Why we embarked on Making Business Easier?
Over time processes have become increasingly complex, increasing both the risk and cost they pose, whilst restricting our agility. At the same time, our customers and the market expect more from us than ever before. Making Business Easier forms a fundamental foundation for our commercial and operational excellence agendas, whilst supporting managing our cost base effectively in the future. The MBE Programme will streamline and simplify core processes, provide easier access to quality business data, and will invest in the right technology to enable these processes.
Why is this exciting for your career as a Data Analyst?
The MBE Programme presents a huge opportunity for colleagues across the technology function to play a central role in the design, shape, delivery, and execution of an enterprise-wide digital transformation programme. The complexity of the initiative, within a FTSE 250 business, will allow for large-scale problem solving, group-wide impact assessment, and supporting the delivery of an enablement project to future-proof the business.
Being a Data Analyst at Greencore is pivotal in ensuring the organisation can use analytics and data science methodologies on large scale quantitative data to improve understanding of our offering, increase knowledge of our processes, and help measure the impact of our work. This role is fundamental in ensuring Greencore can make evidence-informed business decisions and position the organisation as a trusted, knowledgeable, and influential force in the food manufacturing sector.
What you'll be doing:
1. Champion analytics and data science by positioning them as central to the organisation.
2. Analysing large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
3. Utilise expertise and best practice to drive a portfolio of quantitative analytics projects to enable more robust impact measurement.
4. Deepen sector and audience understanding for Greencore.
5. Delivery of research and evidence to support leadership decisions.
6. Serve as the point of contact for analytics and proactively integrate data analytics into our delivery.
7. Communicate and disseminate data analytics findings, ensuring analytical findings are accessible, searchable, and kept up-to-date for stakeholders.
8. Present data analytics findings in a comprehensible, actionable manner for a non-specialist audience.
What we're looking for:

You will work on data sources that stretch far and wide from internal systems to client integrations which will leverage artificial intelligence to analyse industry and food manufacturing trends.
