We are seeking an exceptional Interim Head of Compliance for our client, a prominent local authority in the North East of England. This critical role is designed to lead compliance initiatives, ensuring the organisation meets regulatory standards while driving impactful change.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Change Management: Lead efforts to enhance compliance frameworks and streamline operational processes.
2. Policy Development: Develop and implement thorough compliance policies and procedures tailored to local authority needs.
3. Audit Response: Create actionable plans in response to audit findings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership and teams to promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation.
5. Team Leadership: Offer guidance and training to staff on compliance best practices to elevate overall performance.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Significant experience in a compliance role, ideally within local authorities.
2. Proven track record of successfully driving change and improvements.
3. In-depth understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
4. Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
5. Ability to work in the office three times a week.
