We're Hiring an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Portsmouth. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within Special Education Needs schools in Portsmouth and provide vital support to students, across both Primary and Secondary ages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, speech and language needs, physical needs).
* Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized learning activities.
* Help students with social, emotional, and behavioral development.
* Support teachers in creating an inclusive classroom environment.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and updates as necessary.
* Assist with personal care and other needs as required.
* Uphold safeguarding policies and protocols at all times.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN in an education or alternative setting.
* A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting children.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Adaptability to meet the individual needs of each student.
* A genuine passion for making a positive difference in children's lives.
* Resilience and a calm nature.
