Supporting the business in achieving its operation objectives and goals through skilled repair, maintenance and liaising with required third parties.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key activities are:
1. Routine Inspections:
o Regularly checking the facility's equipment, systems, and structures to identify any issues.
o Responsible for ensuring required facility testing and checks are booked and completed in time as per the legal and accreditation requirements.
o Complete PAT tests as required.
2. Repairs:
o Fixing broken or malfunctioning equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, heating and other infrastructure.
o Where possible placing short-term measures in place whilst co-ordinating for applicable (if required) professional support.
o Performs troubleshooting on site where possible.
o Where required, arranging and co-ordinating applicable professional support through contracts and agreed quotes through POs.
3. Preventive Maintenance:
o Performing scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend the life of equipment.
4. Cleaning and Upkeep:
o Ensuring the facility is clean and presentable, which might include tasks like sweeping, mopping, painting/decorating and waste disposal.
5. Safety Checks:
o Ensuring that all safety systems, such as emergency exits, are functioning properly.
6. Record Keeping:
o Manages reports and records as well as explains the actions and procedures carried out with the suggested solutions.
o Maintaining logs of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
7. Coordination:
o Working with other staff or external contractors for specialised repairs or maintenance tasks.
o Raises POs for completed work as required (JDE System).
8. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
