The Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Conveyancer / Legal Executive / Solicitor to join our Residential Conveyancing team. The role will primarily be based at our Dereham office and will also work from our Watton office as and when required. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and ambitious Licensed Conveyancer / Legal Executive / Solicitor with the ambition and ability to bring in new clients and build strong relationships with agents and other referrers in the area.
Our Residential Conveyancing team is experienced in advising clients on a wide range of matters and has a strong reputation in the region. Our matters range from buying and selling freehold and leasehold property, remortgages, equity release/lifetime mortgages, transfers of equity and voluntary first registration of land. The ethos of the team is to support our clients to the best of our abilities.
The Role:
This role will see the successful candidate undertaking the following tasks:
* Managing and handling a wide variety of matters in a busy Residential department.
* Negotiating and relationship building.
* Providing expert guidance and support to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
* Advising clients upon general property law matters.
* Undertaking all client work within your area to a high standard.
* Ensuring clients are kept regularly informed on progress and costs of their legal matters.
* Delivering agreed levels of billing and time recording.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation for each transaction.
* Taking responsibility for credit control on your own matters. This will include monitoring costs, work in progress and aged debt disbursements.
* Business development activities focused on increasing the numbers of new clients as well as maintaining strong links with existing clients and referrers.
* Leading and supporting your staff as well as supporting other support staff.
* Attending departmental meetings.
* Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and financial requirements.
* Contributing to marketing and developing the team.

They should be a team-player who can quickly gain the trust of their team and clients as well as our professional colleagues in this demanding area of legal work. We are looking for a candidate who:
* Is a Qualified Solicitor/ Legal Executive or Licenced Conveyancer (CILEX / CLC Qualified) with a minimum of 3+ years fee earning experience.
* Has excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Has strong problem-solving skills.
* Is a team player but self-motivated and able to work autonomously, pro-actively and with minimal supervision.
* Is a proven multi-tasker with a flair for networking and business development who enjoys the challenge of attracting new clients to their firm.
* Is able to demonstrate the ongoing use of their own initiative.
* Can deliver against short deadlines.
* Is a confidential and professional individual, with high customer care levels.
* Is organised, process driven and IT literate with experience of using a case management system.
* Works towards their continuous professional development.
