Alderwasley Hall School provides specialist education for children and young people with high functioning Autism and communication difficulties.
The role:
We are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic OT team at Alderwasley Hall School. This is an ideal opportunity for those with an interest in working with young people with high functioning Autism.
Criteria:
The successful candidates will have:
* Some experience in working with/or will have completed a student placement in: ASD, Learning Disability, Neuro-developmental Disorders, Paediatrics or Mental Health.
* Demonstrate a sound understanding of the OT process and have excellent communication and recording skills.
* Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, exceptional communication and recording skills, self-motivated to meet deadlines and manage their own caseload.
* Will join a large established and dynamic Therapies Team and demonstrate excellent collaborative practice as part of a wider MDT, working with teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, care staff, parents and external agencies to ensure a student-focused and integrated approach to therapy.
